The evening takes place aboard a renovated Arab dhow, traditionally used for trade along the East African coast. Unlike open-sea excursions, this cruise remains within the calm waters of Tudor Creek. This location ensures the water is flat, minimizing seasickness and allowing for a steady dining experience.
As the boat departs the jetty near Fort Jesus, the setting shifts from the busy city streets to the quiet of the water. The atmosphere is designed to be laid-back and culturally reflective, featuring a live band playing popular tunes and traditional rhythms. It serves as a comfortable introduction to coastal culture for couples, families, and groups looking for a relaxing night out.

The vibe is “smart casual.” You do not need formal wear, but beachwear is generally discouraged for the dinner cruise. Flat shoes are highly recommended as the deck can be slightly uneven, and you will need to step from the jetty onto the boat.
