This excursion is a full-day commitment, taking you away from the hotel pool and into the heart of the Indian Ocean. The journey begins with a drive through coconut plantations to the historic Shimoni Jetty. From here, you trade the van for a traditional Swahili Dhow—a motorized sailing vessel that offers stability and plenty of shade.
The primary goal is reaching the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park. Unlike crowded near-shore reefs, this protected area offers visibility that allows you to see vibrant coral gardens and sea turtles clearly. We time our departures to align with favorable tides, ensuring you get the best possible conditions for swimming and spotting marine life before heading to Wasini Island for a relaxing afternoon.
